| Roger Rochowiak
is a produced playwright who was born and raised in Lansing,
Michigan. He has written over 25 full-length plays which have
been seen in both the United States and Canada. His work has
been produced in educational theatre, community theatre, summer
stock, and off-Broadway. |
| Roger's prize-winning play,
Ernie & Arnie, which
was first produced in the Midwest, garnered excellent reviews
when it opened off-Broadway at the Actor's Outlet, and a staged
reading of Roger's play Dear Sisters
pleased audiences as a part of New York Theatres' Playwork
Festival. |
| Roger's plays have been entered
in the Community Theatre Association of Michigan (CTAM) playwriting
contest and the Grand Valley New Play Festival, winning first
and second place awards. |
| Some of Roger's most recently
produced works include the musical comedies Just
the Two of Us, Lovin' N'
Huggin', and Flipaswitch;
the comedies Old Age Isn't for
Sissies, Dear Sisters,
The Second Coming of Katie Finnigan,
The Blue Cross Hilton,
Mattress Mary and the Baggies,
Silent Wars, A
Threat of Love, An Almost
Perfect Family, And a Merry
Christmas to You Too; and the drama Conditional
Love. |
| Currently, Roger
has co-authored his first book and is preparing for the production
of two more of his plays. |
